The Lodge
Restaurant
The Lodge is located in a main boulevard in Constanta city, Romania, and it could be described as a restaurant, a events hall and a club, all together. Having an important depth (the windows are placed only on the short side), the space was designed with a lot of typical american elements. These elements communicate well with such a long and narrow space configuration. Also, this geometry inspired by the american design was the starting point in searching and finding solutions. The lack of the natural light made the existence of a variety of lighting units necessary. The entire interior design is based on the game of lights and shadows that put in highlight the used materials: recovered brick, exposed concrete ceiling, hand finish wood, metal frames. The way these materials are displayed, the various type of lighting units and the diverse flooring led to the demarcation of different zones. Photo ® Silviu Craciun // Vladimir Mindru
